About Joe Ragland

Joe Ragland grew up in Macon, Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia.  He started his own real estate company in Macon, served in the Georgia House of Representatives for Bibb County, taught and sold Dale Carnegie courses and served as president of Chambers of Commerce in Gainesville, Columbus and Roswell, Georgia as well as Pensacola, Florida.  

"Retiring" to the beautiful North Georgia Mountains, Joe reinstated his Broker's license and became an expert in mountain property.  He has been very active in many civic and professional organizations over the years including Rotary, Elks, Lions, Red Cross and is currently serving as president of the Gilmer Arts and Heritage in Ellijay.

Joe is married, has three children, ten grandchildren, two dogs and a cat. He enjoys traveling, photography, theater, fishing, painting and primarily being with his family and friends.   Joe and his wife, Linda, live atop Fort Mountain in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains.
